This step needs an adult’s guidance. A parent/ grandparent/ elder sibling can become a guide.
Steps to be taken
Every day at a particular time (can be decided by the family members) the child should be taken to the room and introduced to the things in the room. (Very importantly one by one).
(Note: - Children get bored very fast so do not introduce him/her to everything at once).
If it is drawing then both the guide and the child can take a paper and draw something and color it.
Later both the pics can be put up in the magnetic wall.
Do not forget to put the things back in its place. This will train the child to take care of his/her things
Similarly, a new activity can be introduced every week or depending on the interest of the child.
Let the child visit the room a minimum of once a day. He/she can spend time inthere whenever he/she wants.
Appreciate the child’s efforts and all his/her creativity. That’s how the child will be drawn to create something. Never stop her from messing her dress or hands, see it as collateral.
Keep the place or room clean but never change the place of how things are kept because it is the child’s personal space. (For pttle older children, they can be encouraged to tidy the place themselves)
This will slowly encourage children to develop an interest into a hobby and give their creativity a boost. This also helps parents to control the use of gadgets. All the creations can be stored as acollection or parents can sit with them and make a college or an album out of it.Some of the other activities which can be introduced are clay modeling, puppet making, and other craft work like making pen / pencil stand different kinds of thechart.
